Obituary of Michael DeFelice
Michael DeFelice, age 62, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 33 years to Annette (Gigliotti) DeFelice. Born in Bridgeport on September, 23, 1960, he was a son of the late Dominic and Maria (Martino) DeFelice and was a longtime resident of Trumbull.
Michael strived for excellence in both his family & work life. He served as President of Hatch & Bailey Company in Norwalk, CT until 2022 and has recently embarked on new ventures. Michael enjoyed spending time on the water in Cape Cod, hosting many memorable events and parties, traveling with his wife, spending time with his sons, many friends & his beloved dog, Starr. He was a man of many talents & enjoyed nothing more than helping others, regardless of the request. Michael provided a blanket of comfort, service, kindness & love to all around him despite his rugged exterior. He will always be remembered by all as a kind soul & role model.
In addition to his beloved wife Annette, survivors include two loving sons, Michael V. DeFelice and Paul F. DeFelice, and a brother, Patrick DeFelice, mother- in-law, Christine Gigliotti of Shelton CT, brothers & sisters-in-law, Tony & Cathy Mingolello of Shelton CT, Vincent Gigliotti of Bridgeport CT, Robert & Evana Falzone of Trumbull CT, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John DeFelice.
All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road. Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
