Every summer Saturday for 25+ years we sailed aboard the “Saddle Up.” Together we enjoyed warm winds and beautiful seas. We talked about everything, sang with Willie Nelson, ate the best boat sandwiches, laughed a lot and always looked forward to that cold beer back at the dock. Thanks for being the best Aunt in the world. Love and miss you always, Karen and “Saddle Up” crew.”

Thinking about Marie's entire family and sending my heartfelt condolences. She was a special person to me as I was growing up and friends with her daughter Deb. I thought of her as a second mom and she treated me like part of her family. I will never forget her.

You won't believe who I got to see today- the other SOPHIE came to see us! To me, sharing memories and having the opportunity to be together is the reason for ceremonies like this.

Marie was a lovely neighbor to us for 36 years. She was always seen gardening in her yard and planting her flowers. We also had the pleasure of getting to know her more closely this past year, and spent some quiet moments together with her. She liked to share her stories and a glass of wine. She will be missed by our family!

Marie and I were Subway buddies since 1988, getting to talk with her was always the highlight of the day! Loved her great sense of humor and forthright attitude on every subject. Prayers for her wonderful family, that she loved dearly and shared stories of your trips and other adventures!

I was lucky enough to work with Marie for 15 years. I can still hear her cheerfully greeting me with a “hello, dolly” as I walked by her desk, and it still puts a smile on my face thinking of it today. In the R & D department, we were a true work family and Marie was both a colleague and a “work mom” for our work family. She celebrated our personal and professional achievements, laughed with us, and cried with us when during difficult times. She amazed us with all her activities outside of work and the immense pride and love she had for her beautiful family. What a wonderful and remarkable woman. Rest in peace, Marie.

Nobody loved a day at Compo Beach, with a picnic lunch, or sailing with her girls, more than my Mom. Imagine the party in Heaven right now with all her extended family that have gone before her! Like one of those big all day parties at Aunt Helen's house, only for Eternity. Love ya, Mom.
