I'm so sorry to read of Bill's passing, and for Bernadette as well. I typed many scripts for Bill years ago when he lived in Danbury, CT. I have fond memories of our conversations and will forever remember his kindness.

I knew Bill and Bernadette for many years. Bill was an inspiration to me and to many others, and taught me many things about life, love and how to live one day at a time. He will be truly missed. I was fortunate to meet Larry and spend time with both he and Bill at various points over the years. It's so incredibly hard to lose a parent - my prayer to all of you is that each day the hurt is replaced with peaceful, comforting memories that always make you smile. Love, Diane Hamm-Vida/Gongora.

Bill Borchert was a true renaissance man.
He was an author, wrote screenplays, movie producer, gifted speaker and husband, father and friend. Above all, Bill saved so many people’s lives leading them to sobriety. I recall his being on my radio program, and what a tremendous presence he had.
My deep condolences to his family and fellow friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just visited Stepping Stones for the first time on September 6th of this year, what a wonderful place. It was such an amazing and inspiring feeling that you get when you are there. Although I was not fortunate enough to have met Bill I think that anyone who dedicates themselves to AA and all that it stands for will always end up with his Higher Power! You are in my thoughts and prayers Bill, as well as your family.

Bill welcomed me to our friends at Rye Harrison with open arms. I was the new kid in the early 80s making friends with folks who had more means than, "Bicycle Barb". It solidified my 40 year journey to happy destiny. He and Bernadette touched hearts of all hose paths they crossed. Thank you Bill as you embark on your next journey. RIP my friiend.

So sad to hear of the loss of my beloved Uncle Bill. You are the last of the great ones.
You have touched so many lives with your faith, life experiences, wisdom, support and love. Your are truly an amazing man and you have inspired me always. I’m so glad I was able to tell you how special you are to me and how much you meant to me. You and Aunt Bernadette were my favorites. So many childhood memories of our families being together. I cherish them all. Although I’m sad of your passing I know you are in the arms of the love of your life Aunt Bernadette and the Lord Jesus and no better place to be. You leave a legacy of your beautiful family my wonderful cousins and their children, also all your books and movies that many will read and see and inspire and give support to all.
Rest In Peace my dear Uncle. Job well done on earth and you will continue to support and love as our guardian Angel . I love you and will miss your great big presence and your hardy laughter in my life. Until we meet again!
To all my wonderful cousins you all are in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time of the loss of you wonderful father. God Bless, comfort and give you strength at this sad time in your life. Love you All!
