Dear LaConte Family, I fully intended to return to CT. to pay my respects but due to a car problem I will not be able to make it. Your Dad was a very good friend to our family and especially to my son Anthony. You guys all attended school with my children, and are still close friends. When I was a teenager and later in my twenties I would frequent the park often never realizing that our families would wind up friends. My deepest sympathies to you all in your time of sorrow. We will all miss your Dad, and grandfather.

I met Larry in 1984, and we became close friends, when my father passed away in 1989, he always would call on me to say hello and check in, the when I became involved with the Sports Page in 1993, we would always visit each other. Then in 2009 his son and my friend Larry Jr asked me to help him at his new adventure Vazzys at Fairchild Wheeler, and the rest is history. He would stop in on me sometimes weekly and we always had a good chat and he was always there for support and guidance. I'll miss you Big Guy, I am happy I spoke w you a few weeks ago, I would have never imagined it would happen this way .. but God needed another General, My Condolences to Lisa, Lori, Leanne, Larry and Elaine and the family .. God Bless

As the Grand Marshal of the 111th Bridgeport Columbus Day Parade, he continued the tradition and honored his legacy as a proud Italian American. Along with the Bridgeport community, we shall miss him and celebrate his life. To the LaConte family and Elaine I am very sorry to here about Larry. He was a great person with a fantastic personality. I remember him from Conte's and at Elaine's house on Christmas Eve. I always enjoyed talking to him about old times and seeing him at the Trumbull and Fairfield Concerts. He will always have a special place in my heart. May he REST IN PEACE AND MAY GOD BLESS HIM

My deepest condolences to the LaConte family. Mr L has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I'm blessed to have him consider me family as well. I always enjoyed our kitchen table conversations often leading me to spend more time with you than the person I came over to visit. Having meals at the buffet or just Alex and I bumping into him and Elaine at the Windmill, several times talking and enjoying a meal together. Thank you for the memories, advice, and passing along valuable life lessons. You led your life "my way" as the song goes. Rest in Peace Mr L I love you
