Obituary of Angela Socci

Angela Socci age, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 11. Angela was born in Settefrati, Italy on September 3, 1932, the daughter of the late Francesco and Filomena (Capocci) Pompa. In 1957 Angela married her childhood sweetheart Giuseppe Socci and started their lives first in Stamford, CT. Eventually setting up residency in Riverside, CT., they started and ran Socci Shoe Center, side by side, for 41 years. Mom's favorite activity was preparing meals for her family. Her greatest gift to us was teaching us love of family first and foremost. She always carried herself with style and grace and we are all truly blessed to have had her love.

Angela is survived by her husband of 63 years, Giuseppe. Her daughter Cathy and her spouse Larry. Her son Domenick and his spouse Ornella. Her son Anthony and his spouse Linda. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Stephen and his spouse Allison, David, Julie, Joey, Regina, Tony, Angela, Mia, Gianna, and Isabella, as well as 3 great-grandchildren, Frank, Marley and Brice, all who were truly her pride and joy. She also leaves two sisters, Maria Buzzeo, Loretta Buzzeo, a sister-in-law, Vincenza Pompa and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Luigi, Romano and Antonio Pompa.

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5302 Main St., Trumbull on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk. A walk-through visitation will take place on Wednesday from 4 – 7 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105,  www.stjude.org.
