My father J. Roger Shull, had the greatest regard for Bill. Their relationship began when as musically talented and determined teenagers, along with others performed together in in the band they created and called the Swing Timers. They competed in Look Magazine's National Swing Band Contest.. Perhaps Bill recounted the amazing night, when he delivered on the drums along with his horn playing bandmates, competing for the national title at Carnegie Hall. A performance hailed as "unequaled by any young band in history'. Additionally noted: "So great was the excitement created by the performance of their final number, that the audience literally lifted the roof from that great musical landmark." It is wonderful, to know that Bill continued following his passion throughout his life in so many wonderful ways. I would love to share the recording of that riveting experience, my father had preserved. I know he would want that for you. With sympathy, Jennifer

This breaks my heart! Mr. Jarboe was such an awesome teacher, and friend to those of us "Troubled Teens"...so many of us would not have graduated if it wasn't for his efforts!
Godspeed Mr. Jarboe...

I was one of his students. He made me feel welcome, smart, cared about, and he always had a smile. He was one of the only teachers I remember. Thank you for everything Mr. Jarboe. Btw, It was me who wrote joke voice bubbles on all the presidents in the textbooks.
