Obituary of Daniel A. Tuba

Daniel Andrew Tuba, age 69 of Monroe, beloved husband to Susan Sulkazi Tuba, passed away peacefully at Bridgeport Hospital on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 with his family by his side. Born on December 14, 1949 in Bridgeport, he was the son of Andrew and Irene Boros Tuba. Dan worked for many years as the town planner for the Town of Monroe. He also served for many years as both past president of the CT Chapter of American Planning Association and as chairman of their New England Conference. In his spare time, Dan enjoying traveling with his wife Sue, bowling, or playing softball. He was an avid New York Yankee's, New York Giants, and UCONN Huskies fan. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife Sue of 46 years, he is survived by his two adored sons, Chris Tuba and his wife Colleen of Milford, and Greg Tuba and his partner Sandi Dube of New Jersey; and his three cherished grandsons, Derek, Bryce, and Ethan.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either the Monroe Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 691, Monroe, CT 06468 or to the Diana Donald Scholarship Fund, 2 Jonathan Drive, Ellington, CT 06029 (Checks made out to "Treasurer, CCAPA").
