I was so sorry to hear the news of Dan's passing. During the 27 years I was on Monroe Planning & Zoning, I worked closely with Dan and I found him creative, helpful, and his knowledge and insight over the years made Monroe a much better place to live in. Without his guidance it is unlikely that we would have the rail trail, the ball fields at Great Hollow and the diversified housing mix that Monroe has. Although we moved away from Monroe in 2011, I never forgot him or our friendship. My heart goes out to his wife, children and grandchildren. Dan was a wonderful man and I will miss him.

Sue, Chris and Greg, Barry and I are so sad about Dan’s passing. We have been reminiscing about all the fun times we shared: the market testing of beer, skiing in Vermont, and our many antics at Sunnyridge. Dan had a talent for telling jokes and had the best sense of humor. He could make me laugh until I cried. Dan was a great guy who adored his family and was a true friend. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. We are thinking of you at this very sad time. Much love, Jill and Barry

To Dan's family, I am really at a loss as to how to respond to the news of Dan's passing. Dan and I were fellow town planners who suffered a similar job situation and Dan was there to pick me up when that happened and when I needed it most. I also severed proudly with Dan as a member of the CT Chapter of the American Planning Association. Dan was a true gentlemen, a genuine and wonderful human being - simply a "good person". God bless Dan and his family. Heaven got a good one.
