This is Billy Raymond's grandson he was the best man in the world he was my father my best friend my brother my uncle he was everything to me when my son was born he was so happy and he said some weird things but I took it as it came he would say I got my Raymond back I have my Raymond back we all know Raymond his son was taken from us too early in life just like his great-grandson my son Raymond as well when my son passed away I believe it completely drained him of his will to live. I always told him that he would live to be a hundred years old and if he's lucky 99 we would laugh at that anyways his great-grandson Raymond brought him the most Joy I've seen in all the years I've been alive he was 45 years old when I was born. And he passed away 5 days before my 39th birthday I had one last phone call with him because I knew he was going to heaven that night I remember when the nurse lifted up my great-grandmother's leg Grandpa's mother nanny and said she will be passing on tonight and I was told over the phone by my mother Maria that his legs were showing that he was going to be passing on and all I could wish as I can be there and also I wished to be able to trade places with him he deserve to keep living on and I wanted to be in his place leaving this Earth so I can be with my sons but that's neither here or there he was a wonderful wonderful man who provided for his family he had defaults but who doesn't have a default in their life alcohol was his default but who wouldn't drink after what he's seen in the Korean war who wouldn't drink with having six children who want it drink with this world that we live in I was always there for him when I was old enough when he would go on his benders and the rest of the family would take off and leave him alone I would stay there and make sure he would be all right clean up after him and do everything possible and my wife Heather cleaned his legs up when he had an accident and she didn't even make a face like this is disgusting we took care of him when he was here a month before our sun passed away and he did not want to leave he wanted to stay with us he wanted to stay living with us and that made me so happy but he was threatened by I'm not going to say who that if he doesn't leave he would be hauled out by the police because of him being intoxicated and a child being in the house and he didn't want any trouble being brought to my wife Heather and I so he left and I hated it but anyways he was the most wonderful man that would help anyone he'd hold the grudge for maybe a month to 3 months and then say forget about it and it would be like it never happened anyone that knows him knows exactly what I'm talking about I hate that I left his funeral but I could not stay there was one person there that was ruining it for me because I came from her and everyone knows who that is and there was other people there that were staring at me for other reasons that I cannot figure out so my wife and I felt very uncomfortable and we left but we seen him and we set out to do what we came to do and we completed our farewells so if you did not see my wife Heather or myself there it is because we left early and I already explained why thank you for all who did come in for all who I did not see thank you very much and I love you all

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, and friend, Ray Ambrose. He was part of the Bridgeport landscape for many decades, and was a very good friend of my parents, Marion and Fred Del Bianco, Sr. and a godfather to my brother, Fred Del Bianco, Jr. His passing marks an end to a era gone by. During the time I knew him in the 1960, 70s, 80s, 90.s.Ray was nothing short of a good man to know, always lending a helping hand to who ever needed it. My sympathy goes out to his wife, Barbara, his five children, his grandchildren, and his many friends that loved him near or far. When Ray and Barbara moved to Florida, around ten years ago, we were deeply saddened to see him go from Bridgeport. He was so much a part of this city. He loved Testo's on Federal Street and the Marchegiana Society on Beers Street where he shared his time and good energy in making the establishments a great place to frequent. Ray will be sorely missed by many that loved and new him. This world will be a smaller place without him in it. Sue, Diane, Karen, and Fred Del Bianco, Jr. Trumbull, CT
