Obituary of Joselin Cruz

Joselin Cruz, age 100, of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stratford. He was the beloved husband of the late Laura Gaud Cruz. Born in Puerto Rico on January 1, 1916, he was the son of the late Justino and Paula Jimenez Cruz. Joselin had been employed by Clairol Cosmetics as a line technician before his retirement with many years of dedicated service. He found great enjoyment gardening and fixing up his home and will be best remembered for his one liners. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving children, Norberto Luis Cruz and his wife Judy of Trumbull, Mildred Stefan and her husband John of Huntington and Myrna Gaud Figueroa and her husband Juanito of Shelton, his seven cherished grandchildren, Carlos, Ivan, Eric, Miladys, Ervin, Adrian and David, his great grandchildren, Gianni, Santiano and Valentina and a great great granddaughter, Aria. Joselin was predeceased by his several brothers and sisters. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe.
