Obituary of Carl D. Franco
U. S. Army Veteran of World War II
Carl D. Franco, age 87, of Bridgeport, a retired truck driver for E& F Construction Co., died Wednesday, August 4, 2004 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on December 20, 1916, he was a son of the late Tiberio and Theresa Marseglia Franco. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Franco was a former Red Cross volunteer and a Bridgeport Hospital volunteer for 17 years. Survivors include his beloved wife of 67 years, Rose Nappi Franco, a brother, Edward Franco of Milford, two grandsons, Kenneth and Carl Athans, two great granddaughters, Alexandra and Taylor, as well as many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Roseann Franco Athans Faria and two brothers, Oliver and Robert Franco. Funeral Information
Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 9, 2004 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine Chapel, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. Donations Information
