Obituary of Vivian T. Mercurio

Stratford Resident Vivian Cupole Mercurio, age 80, of Stratford, a retired receptionist for Internal Medicine of Westport, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on July 14, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Susie LaPorta Cupole. Mrs. Mercurio loved to dance and travel and always enjoying life to the fullest. Affectionately known as Mimi, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Stratford. Survivors include her beloved husband of 56 years, Joseph P. Mercurio, three children, Joseph Garofano and his wife Carol of Waterford, Nancy Faiella and her husband Salvatore of Shelton and Daniel Mercurio and his wife Karen of Meriden, a sister-in-law, Barbara Cupole of Milford, five grandchildren, Salvatore IV, Joseph, Gabriella, Daniel Jr. and Lindsey as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother Nicholas Cupole Jr. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
