Obituary of Hazel Merando

Hazel Atwood Merando, age 84, of Trumbull, a homemaker, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the residence of her daughter, Karen Kirkland. Born in Saugus, Massachusetts on February 9, 1921, she was a longtime Trumbull resident.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph A. Merando, Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Kirkland and her husband, James of Trumbull and Diane Merando of Bridgeport, a brother, Harry Atwood of Massachusetts, two loving grandchildren, Ryan Trombley and Jessica Overfield, longtime friend, Helen Kopacz and several nieces and nephews. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Connecticut Visiting Nurses Association, especially Rosemarie Marsielle for her devoted care. 

Family and friends may call on Monday, March 28, 2005 from 4-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
