Obituary of Anna Margaret Meldon

Trumbull Resident Anna Margaret Meldon, age 98, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Albert Henry Meldon, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born on July 26, 1914 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Lucia Capuano Scinto. Margaret loved ceramics and cooking with her friends. She will be remembered for her generosity and always thinking of her family and friends before herself. Survivors include her beloved children, Carol Ann Straubinger of OR, Sylvia Jean Gallucci of New Haven, Debra Bike and her husband Edward Jr. of Stratford, and Leonard H. Meldon and his wife Gail of Brookfield; a brother, Lawrence Scinto; sisters, Lena Kuhar, Lucy Basala and Rosemary Scinto; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Albert, she was predeceased by her first husband, Silveo Gallucci, a son, Richard Meldon, six brothers and two sisters. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
