Obituary of Violet Joan Meehan

Violet Joan Meehan, age 78, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully in Masonicare at Newtown on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Born in Bridgeport on February 17, 1935, she was a daughter of Samuel J. and Violet DeSabia Bonaventura. A 1952 graduate of Warren Harding High School, she was a manager for Fairfield Answering Service for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading, attending Broadway Shows and volunteering at Hospice. Survivors include a sister, Carol Bonazzo and her husband Louis of Shelton, a brother, Frank Bonaventura and his wife Diane of Fairfield, her nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to her as A. J., Jeff Bonaventura, Pamela and Steve DeAngelo, Darren and Susan Bonaventura, Louis and Theresa Bonazzo, Amy and Joseph Potvin and Jennifer DiVincenzo and great nieces and nephews, Owen and Olivia Bonaventura, Madison and Morgan DeAngelo, Matthew, Emma and Sean Potvin, Jackson, Steven and Molly Bonazzo and D. J. and Max DiVincenzo. She was pre-deceased by her animal companion, Sir Gigi. Funeral Information A Memorial Mass will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
