Obituary of Carl J. Bernier

U. S. Army Veteran Carl J. Bernier, age 77, of Monroe, beloved husband of Donna Guerrera Bernier, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Bishop Wicke Health Care Center. Born in Berlin, NH on December 22, 1934, he was a son of the late Allyre and Rose Gregoire Bernier. A U. S. Army veteran, he was a supervisor for United Illuminating with 42 years of dedicated service. An avid Yankees fan, Carl also enjoyed horse racing and was a volunteer fireman for the Town of Monroe. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife Donna of 46 years, survivors include a son, Matthew Bernier and his wife Kami of West Haven and Deanne Carris and her husband George of Odenton, MD, four grandchildren, Jordyn and Ellie Carris and Matthew and Katherine Bernier. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9:00-10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
