Obituary of Kimberly Marie Matty

Resident of Stratford Kimberly Marie Zima Matty, of Stratford, beloved wife of David Joseph Matty, died suddenly on Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Kim was a loving wife and devoted mother of Chelsea and David Matty, who adored their mother. She was the beloved daughter of Bob and Lee Zima of Stratford and sister of Heidi Zima Fawver of Stratford. Heidis children Russell and Amanda had a special place in their hearts for their Auntie Kim. Kim was the beloved daughter-in-law of Rose Matyasovszky and her husband, the late Joseph Matyasovszky. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Steve Matyasovszky and his wife Lora, sister-in-law, Sandy Costello and her husband Lynwood, their children, Lynwood III, Christopher and Cassie and their grandchild Damean. Kim was a gifted nurse who took great pride in her profession. She leaves behind many colleagues who will miss her deeply. She had a special zest for life and an energy and enthusiasm for all that she did. We were all blessed to have her in our lives. Rest in peace our darling Kim; we shall all miss you all the days of our lives. We love you dearly. Funeral Information A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will take place Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. James Church, 2110 Main Street, Stratford. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for a college education fund to be established for Kims children, Chelsea and David Matty.
