Obituary of Charles G. Fazekas

Charles G. Fazekas, age 71, of Stratford, a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who put everyone elses needs before his own, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on October 21, 1933, he was a son of the late Andrew Fazekas and Helen Kirsch Fazekas and was a U. S. Army veteran. A graduate of Bullard Havens Technical School, Mr. Fazekas was retired from Perkin-Elmer with 17 years of service and had also worked for Dictaphone for 25 years. His passion was cars and Nascar racing. He attended many antique car shows and was a former member and past president of the Nutmeg Car Club of Trumbull.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Joan Kern Fazekas, his devoted children, Chuck Fazekas and his wife, Karen Ann of Woodbridge and Karen Bollert and her husband, Bryce of Trumbull, three brothers, his twin, Andrew Fazekas and his wife, Ann of Stratford, Robert Fazekas of South Carolina and Dennis Fazekas of Plainfield, a sister, Judith Fazekas of Fairfield, his cherished grandchildren, Sarah and Laura Bollert and step grandchildren, Scott and Craig Vogel and several special nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to thank the staff at Lord Chamberlain and the Stratford Visiting Nurses for all of their care during our time of need. 

Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 18, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
