Obituary of Josephine Mata

Josephine Capozzielli Mata, age 102, beloved wife of the late Vincent Mata Sr., passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013. Born in Bridgeport on May 27, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Vincenza Capozzielli. She worked as a sales associate for Nydens Department Store formerly of Bridgeport for over 30 years. Survivors include a son, Vincent A. Mata Jr. of Stratford, three grandchildren, Vincent Mata III and his wife Anna of Monroe, Joseph Mata and his wife Robin of Hamilton, OH and Robert Mata and his wife Tracy of Milford, four great grandchildren, Vincent IV, Jacqueline, Kyle and Amber Mata as well as several nieces and a nephew. She was pre-deceased by a daughter-in-law, Patricia Mata, a brother, Nicholas Cappozziello and two sisters, Laura Cone and Frances Silvestrino. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
