Obituary of Frank J. Mastroni

Owner, Operator and Founder of Mastroni Excavating Co. Frank J. Mastroni, Sr., age 86, of Easton, the owner, operator and founder of Mastroni Excavating Co., died on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 surrounded by his family in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 29, 1923, he was a son of the late Frank and Rose Caserta Mastrone. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Moose Club. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ruby Mae Cryoskie Mastroni, four children, Bette DiNardo and Bob Peslak of Stratford, Frank J. Mastroni Jr. and his wife Donna of Monroe, James Mastroni of Easton and Robert F. Mastroni and his wife Suzanne of Monroe, a sister Carmella (Minnie) Proccacini of Trumbull, sister-in-law, Ann Mastroni of Bridgeport, six grandchildren, Diana Lynn Frascatore, Peter Frank DiNardo, Lauren, Jaime, Krystalle and Anthony Mastroni, five great grandchildren, Sara, Nicole and Christopher Frascatore, Leonard and Allie Jo DiNardo, many nieces and nephews and his devoted dog Trixie. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Dorothy Mastroni, two brothers Joseph and John Mastroni and a sister Mary Coppola. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Notre Dame of Easton Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
