Obituary of Antoinette Massaro
Antoinette Massaro, age 81, of Fairfield, a retired clerk for Bonvini Laboratories with over 40 years of service, died June 26, 2004 at her residence surrounded by her family after a battle with pancreatic cancer that she fought with courage and faith. Born on August 4, 1922 in Bridgeport, where she resided for over 75 years, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Agatha DAntonio Massaro. She was active in the senior community and loved volunteering to read for grade school children. Miss Massaro was an avid and accomplished knitter who was always involved in a project for friends and acquaintances. Her life was marked by faithfulness, kindness and a willingness to assist those in need, her memory will live on as an inspiration to live life in a truly Christian way. Survivors include a devoted sister, Mary A. Gentile of Fairfield, two nephews, Richard Gentile and his wife Mary Ann of Huntington and John Gentile and his wife, Ann of New York and three great nephews, Nicholas, Christopher and William Gentile , two special friends, Elizabeth Gentile and Elaine Shumaker.
Friends are invited to meet on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Margarets Shrine Chapel, 2539 Park Ave, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Private interment services will take place in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis TN 38101.
