Obituary of Rose C. Benedetto

Resident of Trumbull Rose C. Altieri Benedetto, age 93, of Trumbull, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on July 16, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Jennie Volpe Altieri. Mrs. Benedetto was a former member of the St. Theresa Guild of Holy Rosary Church and a Trumbull resident for 40 years. A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will always be remembered for the loving care that she gave to her mother and family. Rose enjoyed cooking for her family, especially making her famous pizza. Her hobby was knitting sweaters for family members. She was pre-deceased by her husband Nicholas A. Benedetto, a son Michael E. Benedetto and four brothers, Earl, Francis, Albert and Michael Altieri. Survivors include her devoted son, Earl B. Benedetto of Trumbull who was her caregiver for the last 6 1/2 years, two granddaughters, Marie Ann Condon and her husband Raymond and Jacqueline Brown, six great grandchildren, Raymond, Cassandra, Vanessa, Jessica, Mary and Elizabeth as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
