Obituary of Vivian A. Maresco

Vivian Rick Maresco , age 96, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2013 with her loving daughter by her side. Born August, 27, 1916 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Tina Dorfee Rick and Nicholas Rick. Vivian was a generous, kind and caring person who loved her family more than life. She and her daughter, Barbara, spent many years together enjoying travel, movies, theater, fine dining and the casino. It was a mother-daughter relationship that Vivian cherished until the end. Vivian would always say how lucky she was to have her Barbara. Vivian also cherished her sister, Doris. They would spend many Sundays together enjoying family conversation and dinners. And when they werent together they would talk to each other on the phone. They were inseparable. Vivian was truly a grand lady who we all loved and looked up to as the matriarch of the family. Vivian is survived by her devoted daughter, Barbara Maher of Fairfield, her sister, Doris Zielinski of Trumbull, her sister-in-law, Mary Rick of Bridgeport, her brother-in-law John Maresca and sister-in-law Grace Maresca of Trumbull and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews of her extended family. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Anthony Maresco, her sister, Lillian Piccirillo, four brothers; Gino Rick, Vincent Richetti, Leonard Rick and Albert Rick and her son-in-law, Adrian W. Maher, Jr. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Andrews Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum at St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 3-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
