Obituary of Catherine Manente

Catherine Kay Stavola Manente, age 83, of Bridgeport, died on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at St. Vincent Medical Center with her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter by her side. Born in Bridgeport, on January 12, 1929, she was the daughter of Joseph and Helen Jones Stavola. Kay liked to attend movies, plays and musicals with her good friend Louise LaChioma. She was also an active member of the Hollander House and involved in their community activities. Survivors include her daughter, Catherine LaChioma and her husband Michael of Trumbull, a granddaughter, Nikole LaChioma of Brooklyn, NY, a sister, Arlene Povinelli of Bridgeport, nieces and nephews, David Kelley, Kathy Weidermann, Jack Kelley, Marie Healy, Andrew Povinelli, Jim and Joanne Zavodjancik, Angela Markoya and Fred Baldino. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Joseph Stavola Jr. and Cornelius Buddy Stavola, two sisters, Helen Kelley and Josephine Stavola. Funeral Information Friends may greet the family on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Memorial services will take place at 7:00 p.m. Private interment will be held in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
