Obituary of Lee Zito Malvasi

Stratford Resident Lee Zito Malvasi, age 88, of Straford, a retired seamstress for the Crown Corset Co. died Sunday, December 19, 2004 at Hewitt Memorial Hospital, Shelton. Born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island on December 3, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Domenic and Catherine Palosa Zito. A former resident of Bridgeport for over 70 years, she was a Stratford resident since 1986. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Joseph A. Malvasi, a daughter, Kate Malvasi of Stratford, four grandchildren, Stacy and Matt Mezick and Thomas and Kelli Cagganello, two great grandchildren, Cole and Kayleigh Mezick, special niece and nephews, Marycae Ariano of Georgia, Frank Ariano, Jr. of Trumbull and Richard Vacca of Stamford and additional nieces and nephews, two special grandnieces, Alicia and Rachael Ariano and additional grand nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Emma Zito Ariano and her husband, Frank and a brother, Rocco Zito. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 8:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
