Obituary of George Malash

Trumbull Resident George Malash Sr., age 82, a lifelong Trumbull resident, passed away on Sunday April 22, 2007 at St. Joseph Manor, Trumbull after a long and courageous battle. Born in Trumbull on October 6, 1924 he was a son of the late Nicholas and Alexandria Samoskevich Malash. A self employed contractor, he was the owner and operator of George Malash Plumbing and Heating, working in the trade for over 45 years. A U.S. Army veteran of WW II, he spent 27 months in England, two years in France and seven months in Germany. He was a charter member of the Sylvan Crest American Legion Post 177 for over 50 years. Survivors include his devoted wife of 58 years Marjorie Whaley Malash, two loving sons, Ted Malash of Trumbull and George Malash Jr. of New Milford, a brother Alexander Malash of St. Petersburg FL. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment, with full military honors will follow in St. John Cemetery, Stratford.
