Obituary of Carmela Magnatta

Resident of Shelton Carmela Albanese Magnatta, age 92, of Shelton, a retired seamstress for OBrien Mens Clothing with over 30 years of service, died peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at her residence. Born in Irpino, Province of Avellino, Italy on April 5, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Libario and Margarita Formichelli Albanese. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Modestino Magnatta, a son Michael Magnatta and three brothers, Frank, Bernard and Michael Albanese. Survivors include two loving children, a daughter, Pauline Bigica and her husband, Anthony of Shelton, a son, Lou Magnatta of Clinton, a sister-in-law, Antoinette Albanese of Shelton, three cherished grandchildren, Tony Bigica, Michael Bigica and his wife Annette and Tammy Edri and her husband Ami, one adored great grandson Peter Bigica as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
