Obituary of Alfred J. Maglione

Owner & Operator of Maglione's Package Store Alfred J. Maglione, age 96, of Stratford, the retired owner and operator of Magliones Package Store in Bridgeport, died on Thursday, July 31, 2008 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center. Born in St. Louis, MO on July 4, 1912, he was a son of the late Francesco and Antoinette Lucy Maglione. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the 88th division, and a recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was also a member of the VFW Post # 145 and was an usher at St. Charles Church, Bridgeport. Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Alice Tickey Maglione, two sons, Michael Maglione and his wife Jacqueline of Shelton and William Maglione and his partner Mark Collins of Nashua, NH, five grandchildren Tracey Sedlock and her husband Drew, Melissa Rotteck and her husband Jeffrey, Eric, Elizabeth and David Maglione, four great grandchildren Jared, Samantha, Daniel and Logan and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Michael, Rocco, Leonard and Fr. Joseph Maglione. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
