Grandma Kay Catherine Macisco, Grandma Kay entered into eternal life on the afternoon of Saturday May 27, 2006 surrounded by her loving family. To know Grandma Kay is to love her and to be loved by her. The greatest joys of her time on earth were spending time with her family, long walks, and the wonders of nature. She will be fondly remembered as a devout Catholic and humanitarian whose faith could move mountains. She never complained no matter what life brought her. She knew that if God brought her to it, He would get her through it. Grandma Kay worked as a lunch mother at Second Hill Lane School, Stratford and at Temple Beth Shalom daycare for many years. She spent her 88 years as a resident of Bridgeport and traveled extensively. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis R. Macisco, and three brothers, Gaetano, Salvatore and Joseph Merola. Survivors include two daughters, Carmela Kekac and her husband Stephen of Stratford and Charlotte Wade of Huntington, a son, Michael L. Macisco and his wife Deborah of Stratford, two brothers, Nicholas Merola of Fairfield and Anthony Merola of Shelton, grandchildren, Catherine Haley, Stephen W. Kekac, Michael A. Kekac, Jason M. Kekac, Brenda Kopcik, James M. Lally, Debra J. Macisco, Renee M. Filloramo, Audrey H. Merritt, Michael L. Macisco ll, Brian L. Macisco, ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 9 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Michael Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Stratford.
