Obituary of Peter M. Lubin

Resident of Trumbull Peter M. Lubin, age 87, of Trumbull, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2008 in St. Josephs Manor following a long illness. Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Demetrus and Katherine Lubin, he was a graduate of CCNY. He was a plant manager in many locations with the General Electric Company. He was highly respected for his extensive community service including a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bridgeport Symphony; St. Josephs Manor Board of Directors receiving an award for visionary perspective; past chairman of the Economic Development Commission for the Town of Trumbull; past president of Fairfield Universitys Institute of Retired Professionals; past president of the Trumbull High School Scholarship Foundation; Bridgeport Rotary; National Executive Service Corps and other community oriented activities. Survivors include his devoted wife of 48 years, Mary Walsh Lubin, a brother-in-law John Walsh of Norwalk, two nieces, Virginia Kaczmareck and her husband Lawrence of Norwalk and Patricia L. Walsh of New York State, two grand nieces and one grand nephew. Funeral Information Relatives and Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
