Obituary of Usha Seth

Usha (Mehrotra) Seth, age 84, passed away comfortably and peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Evergreen Woods in North Branford with her son at her bedside. She was the beloved wife of the late Suresh Seth. Born in Kashipur, India on September 14, 1940, she was the eldest daughter of the late Pratap N. and Pushpa Lata (Tandon) Mehrotra. 

Usha married the love of her life and husband of 48 years in 1964, and together they lived a full and adventurous life that took them to Kabul, Queens, Hollywood, and Michigan. Eventually they settled in Bergen County, New Jersey where Usha helped run the family manufacturing business. Usha was a kind and generous soul. She made lifelong friends everywhere she went, and she loved a good Kitty Party. Despite traveling the world, she stayed true to her cultural heritage and was a founding member of the Hindu Samaj Temple in Mahwah, New Jersey. 

Usha is survived by her son, Abhinav, daughter-in-law, Rashu, and granddaughter, Isha.

Funeral services and cremation were held privately for the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Institute or Rheumatology Research Foundation.
