Obituary of Russell M. Jagoe

Russell M. Jagoe, age 89, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Mary Louise (Turchik) Jagoe. Born in Bridgeport on February 4, 1935, son of the late Russell M. and Lillian (Farrell) Jagoe. Russell graduated from Fairfield Prep and later earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Fairfield University. Upon receiving his honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, he began a long career in industry, retiring in 2005 from Northrop Grumman. He also was an active member of the Tashua Knolls Golf Club and the Trumbull Senior Center, where he enjoyed playing pinochle and taking classes in watercolor painting. Russell was a man of great faith and an active parishioner of St. Theresa Church, Trumbull. He also was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling. His greatest pleasure was being with his family, whom he adored. Russell was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife Mary Louise of 63 years, other survivors include his loving children, Russell M. Jagoe III and his wife Barbara of Newtown, Melissa A. Jagoe-Seidl of Trumbull, Christopher T. Jagoe and his wife Nancy of Chatham, NJ, Jennifer M. Jagoe and her husband Peter Brooks of Chevy Chase, MD and Julie L'Abbe and her husband Jeffrey of Lancaster, MA, his cherished grandchildren, Allison Bourassa and her husband Drew, Jillian Jagoe and her husband Nicholas Quintans, Lindsey Jagoe, Gabriel Jagoe-Seidl, Sophia Jagoe-Seidl, Christopher Jagoe Jr. and his wife Briana, Grace Jagoe, Stephen Jagoe, John Jagoe, Cecilia Brooks, Ava Brooks, Andrejs Brooks, Olivia L'Abbe, Nicholas L'Abbe and Aidan L'Abbe, his adored great-grandchildren, Anne Bourassa, Virginia Bourassa, Madeline Quintans and Lucy Jagoe, his brother, Richard Jagoe and his wife Alberta of Milford and his sister, Lilybeth Devorak of Trumbull. Russell was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Jagoe and his son-in-law, Kenneth Jagoe-Seidl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
