Obituary of Charles McQuarrie Nolte

Charles McQuarrie Nolte passed from this life the morning of December 31st, 2024. Born August 22nd, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Charles was the eldest son of Richard Nolte and Jeanne McQuarrie Nolte. Charles had a well-traveled childhood, living in England, Lebanon, Egypt, New Hampshire, and finally Connecticut. He graduated in 1968 from Beloit College with a degree in history, the love of which he passed down to his children. He was an officer in the Navy, graduating in 1970 from the Naval Academy in Pensacola and earned an MBA from the University of Connecticut in 1980. A lifelong lover of cars, Charles was known for founding and managing a number of finance and insurance departments in car dealerships across Connecticut.

Charles (or Charlie, or Chas, or Chuck) was a caring and kind man, a loving father, and a friend to all he met. He was preceded in death at the beginning of 2024 by his beloved wife of 50 years, Dianne. Charles is survived by three children: Jennifer, Carrie, and James; two grandchildren, Henry and Jacob; and two brothers, Jameson and Roger. We will miss him terribly.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 5-7 pm in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 9:30 am meeting directly in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 S. Pine Creek Rd., Fairfield.
