Obituary of Doris C. Farrell

Doris C. Semos Farrell, age 91, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, New York on December 2, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anne Bachmann Semos. Doris was a retired employee for the Town of Trumbull, having worked in the purchasing Department for over 20 years. Doris was a big fan of the UCONN Huskies Women's Basketball. She also loved ballroom and line dancing. Survivors include her four loving children, Stephen Gura, Susan Gura, Patti Gura and Jimmy Gura, three cherished grandchildren, Joshua Lees (Brittany), Daniel Lees (Allyson) and Carol Gura, five adored great grandchildren, Luke, Hailey, Elliot, Nolan and Brandon. Four siblings, Constance Ferrara, Patricia Savino, Robert Semos and Richard Semos, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She also leaves her lifelong friends Ruth and June. She was predeceased by her son, Peter Gura and a sister, Joan D'Agostino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. At Doris' request, there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull, CT 06611.
