Obituary of Helen Soter

Helen Seferi Soter, age 84, formerly of Monroe, CT and Snohomish, WA, beloved wife of the late Arthur K. Soter, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Born in Bridgeport on March 10, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Clanthi Seferi.

Helen was a giving person who always put others before herself. She dedicated much of her time volunteering at the North End Little League, where her children played baseball, and the Snohomish food bank. Her selflessness and caring spirit were evident in all aspects of her life.

Above all Helen was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. The unconditional love she gave will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her dear son Anthony Soter. Survivors include two loving children, Nicholas Soter and his wife Jennifer of Groveland, MA and Karen Maietto and her husband Frank “Sid” of Snohomish, WA, four cherished grandchildren, Rebecca, Jamie, Nicholas and Melanie, loving sisters, Florence Evanko and Gloria Rubis of Monroe, brothers, Norman Seferi and his wife Helen of Newtown and Spiro Seferi and his wife Karen of Trumbull, as well as many nieces and nephews.
