Obituary of Manuel Pereira Ramos

Manuel Pereira Ramos, age 63, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Born on May 11, 1961 in Vilas Boas, Chaves, Portugal, he was a son of Alberto de Sousa Ramos and Donzilia Pereira Ramos.

Along with his family, they immigrated to the United States in 1977 and settled in Bridgeport. He was a construction foreman and worked in the industry for many years.

Manny was a member of the Vasco da Gama Portuguese Club, where he enjoyed spending time with his friends watching his beloved soccer team S.L. Benfica. He was a very talented pool player and loved a good game of cards.

But above all, he took the most pride in supporting and providing the best for his family. The unconditional love he gave will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A dedicated and loving father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle, Manny will be deeply missed.

He was predeceased by his son Ricardo Felipe Ramos and brother Floriano Ramos.

In addition to his parents, Alberto and Donzilia, survivors include his loving and devoted daughter, Jessica Ramos, four adored grandchildren, Alexander Ramos, Liliana Ferreira, Aurora Grace and Rosemary Fanciulli, two brothers, Carlos Ramos (Teresa), Belarmino Joseph Ramos (Sonia), a sister, Patricia Ramos Fontes (John), as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and family members in Portugal.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
