Obituary of William A. Figlar

William A. Figlar, "Fig", age 70, of Stratford, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on April 6, 1954, he was the son of the late Joseph and Katherine (Cutrufello) Figlar. William lived in Colorado for 22 years but he was a Stratford resident for most of his life. He was best known for his lifelong commitment to working the Figlar Family Farm where he enjoyed sharing conversation with many friends and neighbors. His hard work, dedication and love for the farm will be truly missed by his family, friends and all of the customers over the years who enjoyed his fresh vegetables. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the New York Mets and the Denver Broncos.

Survivors include a loving sister, Elizabeth Morgan, two nieces, Jennifer Cuevas (Javier) and Pamela Morgan (Russell Jaffer) and a cherished great niece and nephew, Jordan Peck and Ava Cuevas. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Al Morgan.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his lifelong friends who stood by and supported him every step of the way.

A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends and relatives may greet the family on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
