Obituary of Robert Rocco

Robert Rocco, age 67, a long-time resident of Trumbull, CT passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at his current residence in Derby, CT. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on March 16, 1957, he was a son of the late Frank and Frances Rocco.

Robert had worked as a Special Deputy Sheriff in Fairfield County for many years before his retirement. After retiring he had worked part-time as a crossing guard for Fairfield Board of Education and built many friendships along the way.

Robert was also a remarkably gifted and talented artist, photographer, videographer, and digital graphic designer.

Robert had an avid interest in psychology, parapsychology and various other "things that go bump in the night", sci-fi, horror, action movies and enjoyed all things related to Star Trek.

Robert loved reading, writing, music of nearly all types, going to plays; he was an exceptional cook who enjoyed, entertaining, playing cards or board games, and just hanging with good friends and family. He was passionate about life, love, and learning anything that would stimulate his mind and get him thinking.

Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his brother, Richard Rocco of Lighthouse Point, FL and his sister, Laraine Rocco of New Milford, CT

Memorial and funeral services are being held privately for the family.
