Obituary of George Angelovic
George Angelovic, age 95, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Maria Angelovic, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Born on June 5, 1929, in Czechoslovakia, he was the son of the late George and Susan Angelovic.
A graduate of Warren Harding High School, George went on to attend Bridgeport Engineering School and began a long career as a sheet metal worker. A U.S. Army veteran, George proudly served his country during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany for 2 years.
George was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cared deeply for his family. The unconditional love he gave will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his beloved wife of 70 years, Maria, survivors include his three loving children, Joel Angelovic and his wife Courtenay, James Angelovic, and Diane Licata and her husband Robert; five cherished grandchildren, Carl (Jennifer), Justin, Scott (Meaghan), Kaelyn, and Aidan; and six great-grandchildren, Mallory, Jace, Isabella, Zachary, Oliver, and Eli. He is also survived by two sisters, Helen Helms and Dorothy Whelahan, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa's Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
