Obituary of Barbara A. McGill

Barbara A. Kerr McGill, age 91, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Paul McGill.  Born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian Kerr and sister to Richard Allen Kerr. 

Barbara was a gifted artist with a great talent for painting, drawing and sculpting.  She enjoyed making jewelry for her friends and family. She loved Siamese cats and for many years bred them, with some being award winning.  One of favorite hobbies was taking care of exotic birds, such scarlet macaws, yellow-naped-amazons and cockatiels.  At one time, she was caring for over 25 birds that she amassed in her collection.  

Survivors include her three children, Laura Dehner, Greg McGill and his wife Susan Anner, and Mark McGill and his wife Rosana as well as four cherished grandchildren, Cassidy McGill, Connor McGill, Cooper McGill, and David Dehner.
