Obituary of Michele M. Craw

Michele M. Chaco Craw, age 65 of Stratford, devoted wife of 45 years to Daniel J. Craw, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Krasnica) Chaco.

Michele was a lifetime resident of Stratford and graduated from Stratford High School in 1977. She retired from Sikorsky Credit Union in 2022 after 23 years of providing wonderful member service. Michele loved going on vacation, especially the Bahamas with Dan. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren (who called her their Meme) which included attending many baseball games, endless amounts of trips to Beardsley Zoo, and dozens of cookies baked during sleepovers.

Michele was the ultimate hostess, always planning meticulously for holidays and family events. In the past few years, she looked forward to the annual pre-Christmas celebration when she would cook chicken paprikash for her family.

In addition to her guy Dan, she is survived by daughters Jessica (Rob), Erica (Jimmy), and Nicole (CJ). She leaves behind cherished grandchildren Johnny, Jimmy (Mac), Amelia (Missy), Olivia (Chicky), and Benjamin (Benji). She is also survived by her best friend and sister Elaine (Todd), sister-in-law Sheila, brother-in-law Tom (Karen), sister-in-law Aileen (John), and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Diane, her brother Joe, and brother-in-law Rob. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and care givers who provided Michele with comfort and care, especially over the last week.

Funeral Services will take place on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1 – 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
