Obituary of Constance E. Pulley

Constance 'Connie' Beretta Pulley, age 86, beloved wife of Dr. George Pulley of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lexington, Missouri on October 24, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Ceno and Nora (Mussatto) Beretta and was a longtime resident of Trumbull.

Connie was known as a walking fashion statement, and it all started with her career at Bullard Havens High School. Upon graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology with her bachelor's degree, she went on to teach fashion and eventually worked her way to become the Fashion Technology Department Head. She retired from Bullard Havens after many years of dedicated and rewarding years at the age of 76 and was proud to be recognized as the oldest educator in the State of CT. In 2004 she was proudly recognized as Connecticut Vocational Teacher of the Year, reflecting her unwavering commitment to education and her students. She was a creative and gifted seamstress and later designed and made both her daughter's wedding dresses. She was a longtime and active parishioner of St. Andrew Church and volunteered countless hours at the Thomas Merton House.

In addition to her beloved husband George of 67 years, survivors include her four loving children, George Pulley, Jr. of Middletown, Jean Votto and her husband Joe of Clinton, Judith Samuelman and her husband Joe of N. Andover, MA and Jeffrey Pulley of Trumbull, eleven grandchildren, Julie Votto, Jacey Reynolds (Ryan), Emily Goodhile (Alex), Jake Votto, Margaret Samuelman, Audrey Samuelman, James Votto, Karina McGinnis (Cameron), Joseph Samuelman, III, Julia Pulley and Adriana Pulley and two cherished great grandchildren, Beau Goodhile and Graciela McGinnis as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Lester Beretta, a sister, Jeannie Reed and an infant sister, Geraldine.

All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements in care of the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
