I just heard of the unfortunate news! John & Erin loved & introduced me to New Haven Pizza, Sally's, Pepe's, Modern. Just like the question, where were you when Elvis died or when the planes hit the towers, If you asked me where I was the night of the OJ Bronco Chase, I was at Sally's with John, Erin & Jeanette. We watched it unfold live. They called me JB, they were great people that I will NEVER Forget. Today is a gift, for tomorrow is not a guarantee. Peace & Love!

It was an honor and privilege to call John a best friend. From the first day we met in college until his last days on this earth, we were connected in so many ways. I will dearly miss his friendship, wisdom and laugh. I will forever carry his love of life and warrior spirit. His struggle was so intense, yet he found the strength to love and parent to the best of his abilities. His children are wonderful reflections of their parents. Anyone who met John was blessed by his personality and kindness.
I look forward to playing catch with him again.
Rest in Peace my friend

My condolences to the entire family, and sending love to Brittany Kylie, and John. I have such wonderful memories of John going back to the early days when he and Erin met. He was always so warm and bright and made every occasion feel special. It was always so easy to fall into a thoughtful conversation with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

John was a very handsome loving caring person who was a wonderful father. I met John at teddy bear corner where I took care of his daughter Brittany and was her first teacher. I got very close to him and his belated wife Erin and were their kids nanny. The both of them were so good to me and treated me like family. He believed in me and try to push me to go back to school for my degree and he wanted to open a daycare and wanted me to run it he knew I had a passion with working with children and he was always giving me advice. I enjoyed always watching his face light up when he saw his children. He was so down to earth and just a really great guy he will truly be missed

My very 1st best friend. Johnny and Johnny trouble when they were together. Moving away from New Fairfield when I was 10 so so hard. Growing up on Rita Drive back in the day was a feeling I wish every kid today could experience. Filled with love and great friendships. Wish through the years I was able to see John more but kept connected via FB. When he called and asked if he could share part of our early days together in his book I could do nothing but smile and remember what great times we had. Can’t wait to ride bikes with you when we are reunited again. Love you Woody.

FLASH, My friend, I will miss you dearly. So many great times. Over the last few years you’ve taught me what a true warrior is. You’ve taught me what a person can do when faced with adversity. You’ve taught me what love is. I’m so sad that you are gone but relieved your suffering has ended. I pray that there is something beyond this and we will meet again. Love you brother!

I am honored to call John my friend and he will be missed greatly. We met at Farnham Hall SCSU and shared so many good times I wouldn’t know where to begin.
He also suffered greatly and I hope he has found peace.
