Obituary of Sipra Choudhury Basu

Sipra Choudhury Basu, age 87, of Orange, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Arun C. Basu. Born in Monghyr, India on July 8, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Kumaresh and Binapani Choudhury.

Sipra was a graduate of the Lady Brabourne College in Kolkata, India before coming to the United States. She enjoyed traveling within the USA and abroad with her husband who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She also loved gardening, making flower arrangements, cooking and entertaining family and friends. Above all she was a devoted mother to Arnab and will be sadly missed by family and friends here and abroad.

Survivors include a loving son, Arnab Mark Basu.
