Obituary of John R. Zukauskas

John "Jack" Richard Zukauskas, age, 71 of Stratford, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at his home. Born in Bridgeport on June 16, 1953, he was a son of the late Vincent and Mary (Pistey) Zukauskas and was a longtime resident of Trumbull before moving to Stratford.

A true craftsman, Jack was a Union Carpenter for many years before his retirement. Everyone who knew Jack knows how much he loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, watching Nascar and the NY Giants. Although if you really knew him you know his greatest joy came from spending time with his family at the holidays. His family and friends were a huge part of his life and he will leave an emptiness in the hearts of all those lives he touched.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Cassie Zukauskas, a brother, Douglas Zukauskas and his wife Hui and a "sister" & brother-in-law, Janine Musante and Joseph DiGirolamo as well as a nephew, cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Zukauskas and his former wife Dina Musante.

Friends may greet the family on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A prayer service will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory, to honor Dina, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or at www.cancer.org.
