Obituary of Barbara Trotta

Barbara S. Trotta, 86, a cherished longtime resident of Trumbull, CT, and Ormond Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at St. Vincent Medical Center. A retired secretary for the Trumbull Board of Education, Barbara was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Born on June 10, 1938, in Bridgeport, CT, Barbara was the daughter of the late Robert and Sophie Perchaluk. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Trotta.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends as a warm and caring presence, always ready with support, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her home was often filled with laughter and the comforting aroma of her home-cooked meals, as she found joy in entertaining and nurturing those around her. Her forgiving nature and deep sense of loyalty were an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Rose-Ann Nehez; her children, Thomas Trotta, Mark and Kim Trotta, Michael and Carol Trotta, Robert and Carolyn Trotta, and Liza and Dan DiSisto; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Entombment will be held privately. Friends are invited to call on Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. (prior to the church services) at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
