Obituary of Joseph E. Fraccascia
Joseph E. Fraccascia, age 85, beloved husband of Connie (Lupariello) Fraccascia of Trumbull, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 5, 2024 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on January 11, 1939, he was the son of the late Leonard and Josephine (Rossi) Fraccascia and was a longtime resident of Trumbull.
Joe proudly served in the Naval Air Force until his discharge in 1960. He then earned his bachelor's degree at Fairfield University. Joe spent almost his entire career working at Clairol, Inc., in Stamford, where he made many lifelong friends.
Among his Clairol friends were his Vermont buddies, a small group who made an annual guys trip to Vermont every winter for over 20 years. While we never heard all the details, they always had a great time. Later in life, Vermont trips were replaced with ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Club monthly breakfast gatherings.
Joe was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time on the golf course at his second home in Bradenton, FL. He also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.
Joe was a man of great faith. He was a founding member of Christ the King Church.
Joe was a family man and loyal friend. He loved to joke with and tease those closest to him, with the full and welcome expectation that he would be teased in return.
We will all deeply miss him and the fun we had with him, and we have many fond memories and great stories to cherish.
In addition to his beloved wife Connie of 58 years, survivors include his two loving children, Charrise Fraccascia and Joseph L. Fraccascia, and a sister, Rosemarie Laraway, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday August 9, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave, Trumbull. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven in Trumbull.
