Obituary of Kathryn C. Lucarelle

Kathryn Mary Castelot Lucarelle, age 102, beloved wife of the late Nicholas J. Lucarelle, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Susan V. Whaley Castelot.

A graduate of Lauralton Hall, Kathryn worked in the credit union at Jordan Marsh and Read's Department Stores for many years before her retirement. Kathryn was a dedicated parishioner at St. Theresa's Church, where she volunteered countless hours and was a Eucharistic Minister.

She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She treasured time spent with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include her son, Roger Lucarelli of Thailand, her daughter in law Janice Lucarelle, seven cherished grandchildren, David Capozzi, Erin Macaluso (Matthew), Jennifer Brewin (Richard), Christopher Lucarelle (Laura), Daniel Capozzi (Rose), Katie Thompson (Shawn) and Jennifer Lucarelli, twelve great grandchildren, Ryan, Luke, Anna, Jack, Sophie, Elle, Ben, Ella, Owen, Mae, Emily and Whaley, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter Kathryn Penzotti, a son, Joseph Lucarelle, three brothers, Rev. John J. Castelot, Robert W. Castelot and Willian A. Castelot, and three sisters, Joan P. Sheehan, Irene Leone and Rita S. Castelot.

A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
