Obituary of Linda M. Betz

Linda M. Denes Betz, age, 77, beloved wife of James Betz of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on March 25, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Theresa (Magi) Denes and was a longtime resident of Trumbull.

She was a retired Library Program Manager Assistant for the Bridgeport Public Schools where she introduced the use of puppets to promote reading and learning. She brought joy to her beloved grandchildren with her attention to their every interest and need. She worked hard to support her husband through college and his career in education.

In addition to her beloved husband James of 56 years, survivors include two loving sons, Chad Betz and his wife Cathy and Justin Betz and his wife Holly, two grandchildren, Jordan and Anna Betz as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. A private interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
