Obituary of Lillian Lewis

Lillian Vecchiarelli Lewis, age 86, formerly of Trumbull and Milford, a retired librarian and educator at Lauralton Hall, died on Thursday, March 20, 2008 in the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Born in Bridgeport on March 24, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Constantine and Lucy Carrillo Vecchiarelli. She received a Bachelor of Science from Albertus Magnus College and a Masters in Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University. She was avid bridge player and volunteered her time in the Bridgeport Public Schools and had traveled extensively throughout the world. Mrs. Lewis truly loved cats. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Thomas Lewis Jr. a son, David S. Lewis and a sister, Rita Caserta. Survivors include a nephew, Dr. Robert Caserta and his wife Sue of Fairfield, cousins, Pat Pompa and Mary Magazian, great nieces, Christine Toeplitz and her husband Christopher, Lisa Caserta and her fiance Mark Govoni and Kimberly Caserta, great nephews Daniel Pompa and Victor Magazian and his wife Cheri, great great nieces, Jennifer Cipriano and Jennifer Pompa and two special friends Jean Cianciola and Pearl Fattibene. Funeral Information All funeral services were private.
